BUILDING FEATURES
PRIMARY FEATURES
The columns and rafters make up the rigid steel frame for your structure. All primary members are welded in an I-Beam configuration. Factory welded clips are applied to simplify installation. Buildings can be designed to clear span up to 200’ wide! Interior support columns are an option which will reduce the overall cost. A factory primer coating is applied to the beams to help protect them during shipping and erection.
SECONDARY FRAMING COMPONENTS
The girts, purlins, and eave struts make up the secondary framing. The girts attach to the primary framing columns. They are the wall sheeting’s form of attachment. The purlins are the roof framing members that span parallel to the building eave and support the roof sheeting. The eave strut is the structural member that is the intersection where the last purlin and first girt meet. These components are manufactured in 12, 14 or 16 gauge steel.
BRACING
Cable (X bracing), rod or portal frame bracing is supplied with all of our buildings. Bracing must be used in order for the building to withstand its specific wind and seismic requirements.
WALL AND ROOF PANELS
The purlin bearing rib (PBR) wall sheeting is available in 24 or 26 gauge steel. These panels have an extra lip on the edge that provides a superior overlap between the panels and seals out the elements. Galvalume is the standard finish for the roof with color being an option. The finish on the wall panels is a long-life silicone polyester coating that has a galvanized substrate that further protects from rusting. The paint has a 40 year limited warranty against cracking, chipping and pealing.

FASTENERS
The self-drilling fastener is designed to drill and tap its own hole into the steel girts and purlins. Neoprene washers are included to help provide a water tight seal.
STRUCTURAL BOLTS
All fasteners are included as part of the standard building kit. All bolt holes are predrilled in the plant.
TRIM
Ridge caps, rake, corner and base trim are included in the standard steel building package. Door trim, window trim, gutters and downspouts are options.
